Welcome to EAZY C LIVESTOCK

EAZY C LIVESTOCK is owned and operated by John and Tammy Crenshaw. Our farm is located in Romance, Arkansas which is just about in the middle of the state, a little Northeast of Little Rock.

Our herd

Our herd has been built on a select group of registered St. Croix sires and dams whose lines of descent can be traced back to the original flock imported from the St. Croix U.S. Virgin Island to Utah by the International Sheep and Goat Institute in 1975. Our goal is to raise quality registered breeding stock and to build a quality herd of superior St. Croix to help supply the rising demand for quality meat sheep breeding stock.

The St. Croix hair sheep is the living definition of an “easy keeper” livestock. If you desire a livestock breed that has an easy going temperament, requires no shearing, very little hoof trimming, thrives on marginal pasture, typically drops two healthy lambs without assistance, and breeds year round then the St. Croix is the answer. The longer we have these sheep, the more we appreciate how truly great this breed is.

Building our herd on honesty and integrity has served us well over the years. Our culling process ensures that only the best rams and ewes remain in our herd.

Utilization of the Famacha system helps us identify sheep that have inherent resistance to parasites. A very important trait that we have grown to both appreciate and place a high value on is the St. Croix’s natural resistance to the barber pole worm. Our culling practices dictate that we cull any sheep that requires a second worming for barber pole worms. To date we have yet to cull for this reason.

Genetics here at EAZY C LIVESTOCK are the proper building blocks required to produce a hardy, disease resistant St. Croix sheep requiring little hoof maintenance and consistent production.
